FAQ
Do you ship to my state?
We ship to all states expect Alaska and Hawaii.
How will my order ship?
FedEx is our shipping provider. Your beef will be packaged in a well insulated box with a recyclable liner with gel packs and/or dry ice. If any dry ice remains when you receive your shipment you can place it outside to let it fully dissipate.
How will my meat be packaged?
Beef: Our local, expert butcher vacuum seals every individual cut.
Chicken: Our two families come together and we process our pasture-raised chicken here on the farm and package them in BPA-free shrink-wrap bags.
What if my order doesn't arrive safely?
In the event there are delays with your shipment or you aren't completely satisfied with your order, we will completely refund you or send you new product on us!
Can I track my order?
When your order ships we will email you the FedEx tracking number of your shipment. If you have any issues or any questions about your order please email us at csfarmsllc@gmail.com or call Kelli at 913-904-2807.
What do your cattle eat?
Our cattle get to graze year-round on nourishing forage. In the spring and summer they graze the pastures containing native grasses and nutrient dense forbs. In the fall and winter they graze cover crops, which are essentially a super healthy salad bar for the cattle. These cover crops are a combination of sorghum sedan, peas, sunflowers, tillage radishes, oats, and forage collards.
Do you use hormones or antibiotics?
We take great care in how our cattle are raised and handled. We maintain a low-stress environment for the herd so this helps them stay happy and healthy. We do not use hormones and do not use routine antibiotics. In the event that an animal is in a critical condition and antibiotics could save it we would consider using them.
How long does my meat last in its packaging?
We recommend using your meat within a year but could it last up to two years.
How much freezer space do I need for Bulk Beef?
1/8: 3-5 cu ft
1/4: 6-8 cu ft
1/2 10-12 cu ft
Whole 22-24 cu ft
